    Information on location and arrival

    Hotel Grundmühle is in a peaceful location, nestled idyllically between woods and the river Krippenbach. Krippen is the only district of the traditional health resort Bad Schandau which is located on the left bank of the Elbe. The tranquil town is connected with the centre of Bad Schandau by ferry.

    Arrival and transport connections

    The hotel is easily accessible by public transport, including bus and train. Your Room will be available from 3pm on your date of arrival.

    Various tourist destinations in Saxon Switzerland, Dresden and Prague can be reached easily without a car. You can use almost all public transport free of charge with our HotelTicket.

    Arrival by car/ motorbike

    Take the A17 to the exit at Pirna, then continue on the B 172 towards Königstein / Bad Schandau. Just before the Elbe bridge in Bad Schandau, turn right towards Krippen. In Krippen, drive approx. 1.5 km down the Hauptstraße. The Hotel Grundmühle is on the left side.

    Arrival by train

    Take a regional train from Dresden Central Station towards Schöna to Krippen station. Walk down the Hauptstraße along the Krippenbach. The Hotel Grundmühle is 1.5 km away from the station.
    You can also take the EC from Hamburg via Berlin and Dresden in the direction of Prague / Budapest. It stops at Bad Schandau station. Then take a taxi or bus to Krippen (around 5 km to the hotel).
